Have you ever wondered how LEGO, a brand with worldwide popularity, started out? No, it’s not with fanfare and happy moments.
The story began back in 1932, as a carpenter Ole Kirk Christiansen struggles to make ends meet. He has to close down the workshop. But as a creative carpenter, he got an idea to make wooden toys, which have transformed into building blocks, and finally building bricks with interlocking parts – the foundation of LEGO we know today.
Before I continue, I think a video can tell the story better – so, here’s the story of LEGO in the form of a short animated movie, created to celebrate the 80th anniversary of The LEGO Group.
Watch this wonderfully-crafted movie:
LEGO is a master brand storytelling with all of its line of products, movies and theme parks. This animated movie is one of LEGO’s epic creations, which has served its purpose very well: With over 7 million YouTube views, it’s a successful brand storytelling project.
Well done, LEGO!
