I really love the Harry Truman quote, even though he was long before my time:
“It’s amazing what you can achieve if you do not care who gets the credit.”
You’d need to be subjective when applying Truman’s advice in real life, but it’s great advice for interns, politicians, or anyone looking to pay it forward and do something charitable with their time.
The Art Spander quote that comes right after Truman is also something we all need to keep in front of:
“The longer you stay in one place, the greater your chance of disillusionment.”
