Throughout my entrepreneurial journey, my aspiration is to develop a passive income business that allows me to do whatever I want to do, while my business is running on its own. But things changed. Realities hit me.
Not like what people expect, building a passive income business model requires hard work. Setting up a system can take you years, and there’s a big possibility that the system doesn’t work as well as it’s intended. Again, it’s hard, and it requires hours of refining.
So, to those of you who dream of making big bucks doing nothing, well, keep on dreaming. The reality is, a very little percentage of people can do that. The mega riches might be able to do that. But for the rest of us, wake up, and get real.
Even those who are known as the figure of passive income, they put up countless hours of sleepless night to get their system to work.
An example: Tim Sykes, the rebel millionaire trader. He travels a lot, living large with his money, fast cars and resorts. Seems fun doing nothing no? Hate him or love him, but he works hard working on his stock trading tactics and strategy. He works hard studying stock movements.
Another example: Tim Ferris, the 4-hour-workweek guy. He travels the world and created a business that runs without him. Seems fancy, but it’s pure hard work, and I doubt many of us have the passion and the IQ/EQ to achieve what he has achieved.

Depending on your definition of success, $60K/year might work for many of us. But the thing is, there are scams everywhere saying that it’s easy to make money passively. I know because I’ve participated on several programs and all I can say is this: Some of the so-called guru that you know are millionaires because they sell you the dream of becoming millionaires.
Tim Sykes has millionaire students. Tim Ferris inspires location independent multi-million dollar business owners. Your track record matters.
So, be careful with easy passive income money shortcuts, and start working on your long game; work hard and smart in turning your dream into reality.
