The 2014 World Cup fever in Brazil is on and one week after the opening ceremony, there are endless dramas on and off the pitch.
Spain, the defending World Cup champion (2010,) was crushed to bits by the Netherlands and Chile and kicked out early from the competition; the first time in the World Cup history.
England follows suit by losing 2 out of 3 group matches, and is on their way to exit from the group stage for the first time in 56 years.
Tough situation out there on the pitch, but did you know what’s going on off-the-pitch, before the game starts?
The battle of thoughts; the rituals; the motivational words; the music – the game has begun before the game.
This Beats by Dre commercial captures the story quite well; a bit dramatized, but the essence is there – watch this cool ad, riding on the World Cup 2014’s popularity:
I’m not sure why LeBron James is there in the commercial, but the appearance of Brazil’s Neymar Jr. as the leading character in the commercial is a good, safe choice. He is one of the most popular Brazillian footballers today with a shining reputation – marked by his great performance on Brazil’s first match, scoring 2 of Brazil’s 3 goals vs. Croatia.
So, what do you think of the ad?
