Want to give up because life seems to be hard to get by? Want to throw away your entrepreneurial dream because you fail time and time again? Well, stop what you are thinking and about to do right now and read this post.
Les Brown was born in an abandoned building, got adopted and labeled as educable mentally retarded (EMR) during his school days. Les’ future seems bleak, but a high school teacher has changed his life.
Saying to the teacher that he couldn’t learn because he was considered as EMR, the teacher said, “Don’t you ever say that again. Someone’s opinion of you does not have to become your reality.”
From that day, the rest is history.
Here’s Les Brown’s life story; a story of perseverance and hustle to get where he is right now. Get inspired:
Pursuing your dream, you will face disappointments, defeats and failures. But that’s okay. That’s given. Dreams are supposed to be hard to reach – that’s why it’s called a dream. But listen to me: It’s not impossible.
What’s important is how you walk your path, not the end goal. You need to do the right thing and do things right. You need to surround yourself with the right people. Les Brown’s mother said that if you run around with losers, you’ll end up a loser.
You see, as you pursue your dream, you are becoming stronger and smarter. There will be times when doors of opportunity open up for you as you walk your path. Stay focused and stay true to your dream, and more doors will open up for you.
As Les Brown said, your dream IS possible. Believe it.
