Do you stream video online? If so, you must be aware that lagging videos are not fun to watch. Well, if you think online lag is annoying, try to experience lag in offline world.
Have you ever wondered how lag looks and feels in real life? Well, these four volunteers have tried it. To make matters worse, using Oculus Rift, the infamous virtual reality headset for 3D gaming, they tried to live with lag; let’s try with, say, 3 seconds lag? This is hilarious:
Disastrous. Seriously. What you really need right now is a fast broadband connection without lag – or at least, minimal lag.
This experiment is part of ume.net’s marketing effort. ume.net, a network provider in Sweden, launched the campaign to show people how lagging feels like in the offline world, and offer you a solution that answers the problems in the face: How about 1,000 Mbit/s of fiber broadband connections for your online needs?
Wow. That’s fast.
One thing for sure, the video marketing campaign works. With millions of views in just 3 days, it has officially gone viral.
