In the midst of content push madness of 2015, Twitter launches a new feature that will change the way you engage your Twitter followers – if you use it right.
You see, when you heard about the video feature, you could go “yeah, whatever.” I was one of you guys. But I changed my perception.
Sure, it’s easy to use and all: The video feature helps you creating unique content that is beg to differ in the sea of RT’s and any kind of Twitter updates. This in itself is a nice add-on. But what you see is just the tip of the iceberg.
Have you thought about using Twitter video feature as an engagement tool that dramatically enhance the way you communicate with your Twitter followers? I haven’t, but Gary Vaynerchuk has.
Gary Vee sees Twitter video feature as an epic tool for engagement. His premise is this: Visual trumps textual. When you say “thanks” to your followers, text – even with a wink – can’t really capture the emotion. Enter Twitter video: Now you can say thanks – in a video, in person.
So he does exactly that: Gary replied, answered questions and reacted to his Tweeps – in real time:
Think about it. How awesome it is to let a follower know that you appreciate her thought by replying with a 5-second thank you video? This is a wonderful tool for influencers, experts and public figures – and the rest of us, really.
Pretty cool, eh?
