First and foremost: how dumb is that bank for letting this guy go? Cubes was committed to making money for his employers. Such a rare mindset for an entry-level employee.
Then his next (and presumably last) job — Cuban: “I made the executive decision to go get the check.” FIRED!
Microsolutions, Cuban’s first million dollar company was born and life would never be the same again.
For me, there have been many “aha” moments along the way.
In general, I’ve always felt that I gave too much in return for the salary I’ve been paid at most jobs… why not put that extra effort to work for me, rather than someone else?
